Lint App
UI/UX
design
Lint is a language app for users who are interested in learning a new language. The app is based on data experiments we conducted ourselves. One app had to be harmless, while the other was meant to be harmful.
 App's Structure
For this assignment, we chose to develop two different apps based on users’ responses to our survey. From there, we observe how users react best. If they prefer working in a competitive environment, we direct them to the malicious app. If not, they are directed to the good app.
The Good App
In the Good app, we aim to create a positive and ethical learning environment for the user. We collect data transparently and respect users’ privacy. Our focus is on inclusivity, support, and personalized learning based on interests and learning methods.
The Malicious App
The malicious app excessively collects personal data, utilizes gamification to encourage addiction, and encourages a competitive points system. All of this is done with minimal transparency and aims for commercial gain at the expense of user privacy.
1. Is there a correlation between sharing data
and the need for a premium version?
Privacy & Sharing data
From our dataset, there is a correlation between willingness to share data and the tendency to purchase a premium app, with a convincing probability of 92%.
2. Which of the following environments
do you work the best in?
After conducting a survey on the relationship between language and interests, we wanted to focus more on the user's study behavior. The data shows that the likelihood of ending up with the good or malicious app is almost equal. We also measured stress, which is relevant for understanding the impact of our project.
